This game was made for the 2023 GMTK game jam. Theme: Roles Reversed!

Play as a cultist looking for a suitable eldritch overlord to serve under. You must crawl through their profiles, search results and social media feed, all whilst deciphering their words of wisdom and cult symbols with your trusty handbook.

On your search for finding the perfect eldritch be wary that your traits do not conflict with the eldritch of your choice, lest you become a sacrifice and not a follower!

Choose wisely.

Gameplay tutorial:

You need to select an eldritch that will accept you application as a follower. To do this you must look through your traits to make a decision. By comparing your traits with the information available on the eldritch you can determine if they will accept you as a follower or sacrifice you.

You can use the toolbar on the right to select the profile of the eldritch you would like to look at, based on this you can see the social media posts and search results of that particular eldritch in the toolbar. The Dictionary and Handbook in the toolbar remain the same regardless of which eldritch is currently selected.

To see your traits click on the Cultist CV and you can see which eldritch is currently selected. If you are confident in you selection then you can put your conviction to the test and press select.
